Notes:
- Ballistic missiles travel on a largely ballistic trajectory after their powered flight phase.
- Agni-I to Agni-V and Agni-P are important systems in India's land-based ballistic missile programme.
- K-15 and K-4 belong to India's submarine-launched ballistic missile programme.
- Dhanush is a ship-launched ballistic missile, while K-series missiles are designed for submarine launch.
- Pralay and Shaurya are often described as quasi-ballistic systems in public references.
- Agni-VI, K-5 and K-6 are included only as reported future programmes, not confirmed operational missiles.
- Ballistic missile defence interceptors such as PAD, AAD and PDV are excluded because they intercept incoming missiles rather than serve as conventional strike ballistic missiles.
- All ranges are approximate and may differ by variant and source. Inclusion does not establish current operational deployment.
