India Global Review

India Global Review (IGR) is a digital-first global media platform founded by Indian journalist Palki Sharma in 2026. The platform focuses on international affairs and global news from an Indian perspective, aiming to provide facts, context and analysis for audiences across multiple regions including the United States, Europe, West Asia, South Asia and Africa.

Founding and vision

IGR was announced by Palki Sharma in May 2026 after her departure from a major Indian news network. The platform positions itself as distinct from traditional Indian media by prioritising global affairs, geopolitics and international news over domestic politics and entertainment. Its editorial stance is explicitly non-partisan, aiming to serve audiences who seek context rather than commentary.[1]

The name "India Global Review" signals the dual focus: Indian readers looking for international context, and global readers seeking Indian perspectives on world events. The platform plans to operate as a subscription-based service with free-tier access to select content, a model increasingly common among digital-first news organisations.

IGR does not claim to be the only Indian voice on global affairs — but it does aim to be the most consistent, most accessible, and most fact-driven.

Operational structure

IGR is headquartered in Mumbai with bureaus planned in London, Washington DC, Dubai and Singapore. The editorial team includes journalists with experience at Reuters, BBC, Al Jazeera and The Hindu. The platform is backed by institutional investors rather than political or industrial groups, a point Sharma has repeatedly emphasised to underscore editorial independence.[2]
